the trials of mental illness


it's a drag paranoia

eased for time

by a quiet place with a friend

or vindicated by being kicked out of places

but only for a time

then it worsens

censure & sluts hurt

when i mean well

i just have a mental illness

do you kick out other people with more visible disabilities

isolation exacerbates paranoia

but so too so many quiet australians

as sco mo was fond of saying

swinging voters

enablers of status quo's evils

& spies

what the heal arr they whispering about?

are we in a democracy or not?
