I’ve died too many times

I am old

Beyond my years

I have lived too many lives

I have wrung my heart dry

Life is indeed “a sterile promontory”

This is the worst

I’ve ever known

Because I value beauty

But she disdains me

& as I’ve learned

She disdains herself & life

Hamlet am I

I have died too many times

To have any faith

In love & time
