The winemakers

Have HIPSTERIZED their process

Because evidently

Farmers are not SEXY enough

But the people

That grow the wine

Are the same people

That grew

Your breakfast

Your lunch

& what keeps you

Going

During the day:

Tonight’s dinner

Or what used to be called

“Tea”

Everything that goes

Into your mouth

Apart from

A a genital

Comes

Thanks to farmers!

When I lived in the city

I didn’t really GET this

FOOD COMES FROM FARMERS!

Getting away from kindergarten for a minute

Coz nobody in the literati or Th’Arts is talking about it!

Anyone in the city talked about food processes

Other than that the ingredients are a given

Farming

Is off the table

Because teenage vegans

Have finally discovered

That you’ve got

To TAKE

Something

To MAKE something

Basic

Chemistry

& because they don’t

Like this unsavoury

Reality

Food

Is not discussed

You know

They don’t have to

Feed a family

They get pocket money

To buy

Lord of the Fries

While they’re young enough

Not to get obese

 

Anyway

I laboured that point

 

Just saying

No one’s talking farmers

Only supermarkets

Like that’s where

Food is made

 

I drifted (forgive me)

The blackbird

Outside is telling me I’m getting messy

 

I’m NEW to this issue

Bizarrely

As I’ve eaten

For every day

In my 53 years

 

THANKS to the

FARMERS!

 

NOW

WHAT DO WE WANT

FOR THIS COUNTRY?

 

The hipsters

Are only interested

In mining

When it effects Aboriginal issues

As a touchy-feely thing

 

I must rejoinder:

IT’S AN EXISTENTIAL THING!

YOU CAN’T EAT POWER!

THIS QUESTION EFFECTS ALL AUSTRALIANS

& PEOPLE OF THE WORLD!

SETTLER

THE WHOLE FUCKIN

& SACRED SITES PROTECTED
